"That would be wonderful!" Johnny exclaims sincerely, "A little forewarning so they do not see as hostile."

The bard-barian looks back to the others, "What say you then? Shall we take our leave of Althea and see if we can earn ourselves some goat cheese?" He ignores the rumble in his tummy.

Uvuriel nearly squeals with delight. She puts her hands up to her mouth as she giggles, her eyes crinkling cutely. "I would love to meet some new creatures," she exclaims. Ardrion, who had been sitting at her feet, tenses up for a moment, then leaps onto her shoulder with a graceful bound. He purs as he nuzzles her ear, sharing in her excited feelings. She reaches up to scratch him behind the ear, and looks to Althea.

"Can you bring us anywhere close to them?"

"They will come from the south, following the deer migration. Now that the grass is growing again, they will be here soon," Althea predicts with a sage nod.

Through her empathic bond with Ardrion, Uvuriel feels her familiar's mood shift from the typical feline boredom to mild awkwardness. Elf and grimalkin exchange a brief look that, to outside observers, is almost chilling in how much it seems to communicate.

[OOC: Uvuriel gets the distinct feeling that Ardrion doubts Althea's ability to judge the passing of time on small scales. She is likely several thousand years old, and so the passing of a season is the human equivalent of "give it a minute or two". The herders could be here in hours, weeks, or even more than a month.]

Kel seems to have all the answers he needs and allows the others to ask anything else that they seem is pertinent. In the meantime he begins to try and 'listen' to see if the sword is telling him anything

Armed with the belief that the sword is indeed concious at some level, Kel'Taur tries to listen to what it might be trying to communicate to him. For the moment he gets little in the way of results. Listening to the sword is rather like trying to hold a conversation with a sleep-talker - mostly silent, except for the occasional confusing mumble. Until the next mumble, he will have to be patient.

"I think we should follow the stream south," ventures Johnny, oblivious to Kel's communicado with the sharpened lump of coal, "It might lead us to a nice location to set up a camp, and would bring us that much closer to the herders."

"Agreed," Uvuriel chirps. "And we can take baths in the stream. That's always a plus. Although, just as a side note, I'm not so sure how soon is with Althea's view of time. 'Soon' with her could mean a looooong time for us. But either way, it's worth a look. Maybe we can find a good place for our base camp fort thing while we're at it."

Johnny nods at her words, cursing his imagination as the elf woman speaks of bathing in streams, and then doubly cursing the flush that rises to his face. "Yes, exactly...Sound good, KelTaur? Um, Kel? We're over here, the fleshy, non-coal beings, you know?"

Kel quickly gives nis attention back to the others "Yes, Sorry. this sword really has my interest now that we have learned more about it. I will put it away for now, Johnny why don't you lead us out, we can talk more as we travel."
