Is Scylla all the way to that tree already? How'd she get so far away so fast?

Right, a charge does 2x movement (80 feet in Kiira's case or 16 squares max), a run does 4x...I've been counting diagonals like 1 square just like they will in 4th edition, but I've used it for players too, which is why Miles is at Ari already. Of course, Kiira's first attempt required her only to run 12 squares to get to Scylla since Scylla only used a withdraw action first (x2 move)

So, yes, Kiira could move 2x again and make a grapple attack if Scylla is within 16 squares. Scylla was able to move 120 ft (30 move X 4) which was 24 squares since she wasn't taken down. My question was more about the fairness of it, but someone explained to me it's like American football: when a tackle is broken, the tackler often falls behind the runner (usually by hitting the dirt though). I just wanted to get a ruling on the movement rule, since it is so key at this point.

Aah, right, I didn't account for the 4x running movement, and I often can't see the map because excel doesn't work on my computer. Makes sense to me now. ^__^

If Galen's closest to the Falchion he'll look at it, but if not he didn't drop her it's not his spoil of war.

Hey, y'all...So it's prematur ein game time, but I had the time to write today so I posted a little something in Ardimand Telhur's Diary this evening.

Here's the deal: Eventually, you're going to find Telhur's Diary in Scylla's trunk amongst other stuff. At this stage, all the entries I've posted in that thread will be common knowledge to you who read it. The last post is a letter that Morander is carrying.

We should role-play this out, so for now, either wait to read the stuff, or go ahead and just play ignorant until we reveal it in game. Just a head's up!

Sorry for being unable to post much at all for the last two days - it has been a wild weekend. Long story short: things should be back to normal now.

I don't...Though I forgot to impede everyone's movement last combat, she has a special little item that Miles's detected earlier that helps Scylla out (Boots of the Winterland). If Scylla takes down Ari next round, it will be her vs. Kiira for one round.

Ouch! I think Lucien spends more time dirt napping than the entire rest of the party, ha ha. ^__^ That's how I imagined him when I made him, though. He seriously has to replace that armor of his soon.. it must be riddled with holes by now.

Looks like Scylla is about to chop herself up a wizard salad. Start with Lucien, slowly add minced Ari and then garnish with blink dog.
Leave rest for death

Heads up: I will be in Scotland from Friday for a week plus a day so I won't be around starting then.

Im a bit confused as to why i am so far away? I indicated for two posts that Miles sought out Lucien, you also gave the impression i was with ari, lucien and the blink dog when you posted this statement (The four of them: Miles, Ari, Lucien, and dog look up when the strange, violet tree convulses again and there she is once more…)

That is why I thought Id have the round to cast sanctuary on Ari and then step in to fight Scylla. Also wasn't Lucien at full HP's? I would have thought him to have more than 22 hp's

OK, I read the part about you going to Galen about the flachion but missed the last sentence regarding your movement towards Lucien. I only saw the second post saying it which was why you were halfway there when she appeared. I'll move you 40 feet closer since you were walking to him (having no need to sprint before Scylla's appearance). Your armor slows you down considerablyplus the foot of snow isn't helping.

As for Lucien's hit points, I'm going off of what was on his character sheet. If he was at full, I welcome him to correct me.

You may wish to repost a new spell or action since Ari will most likely be airborn by the time you reach here regardless of your current position.
