Ghoul Powers

Blood Pool
Blood is measured in "points". There are two kinds of blood: regular blood, and vampire blood, the latter of which is better known as vitae.

An adult human generally has 10 points of regular blood in his/her system. Regular blood doesn't really do anything, it just keeps you alive. If you lose a point or two, you start to feel woozy and weak. If you lose three or more points, your health is at risk, and you may need hospitalization for blood loss. If you lose 5 or more blood traits, you WILL need medical treatment or you ARE going to die.

Vitae
Ghouls can store up to two points of vitae in their systems at a time. The ghoul's body will slowly absorb this vitae, at the rate of 1 point per month, so ghouls require regular feeding. Vitae can be used in the following ways:

- Quickening: A point of vitae can be spent to increase ONE of the ghoul's physical attributes (Str, Dex, or Sta) by one, for one scene.
- Healing: A point of vitae can be spent to heal TWO levels of bashing damage, or ONE level of lethal damage. Aggravated damage (from fire or acid, for example), can be healed by spending THREE points of vitae and one point of willpower.
- Disciplines: Some disciplines, such as Celerity, require the use of vitae.

Healing
In addition to healing by spending vitae, ghouls retain the ability to heal over time, like mortals. Healing aggravated damage this way usually leaves terrible scars.

Soak
So long as the ghoul retains at least one point of Vitae in his system, he can soak lethal damage using his Stamina. Normal mortals can't soak Lethal damage at all.

Disciplines
Disciplines are the unique powers that vampires can learn with effort and time. They are all supernatural abilities that are the bloodright of vampires and only vampires. They fall into three main categories:

-[In Clan Disciplines]-
In-clan disciplines are easy to learn and come quickly. Each clan has three disiplines that are in-clan for them. These are In-clan for Toreador:

Auspex
Those who study auspex push their senses beyond what mortals were meant to experience.

o - Heightened Senses. One of your senses (at a time) doubles in strength.
oo - Aura Perception. You can see auras and glean information about people.
ooo - Spirit's Touch. You can sense the residual impressions people leave on objects.
oooo - Telepathy. Your mind can link with others.
ooooo - Astral Projection. You can extend your conciousness outside your body.

Celerity
Practicioners of Celerity are capable of bursts of superhuman speed. This is draining and tiring, yet brutally effective in combat (or to avoid combat). At the cost of 1 Blood Point, you gain one extra action per dot in the next round. These can not be split into multilple actions.

oo - two extra actions
ooo - three extra actions
oooo - four extra actions
ooooo - five extra actions

Presence
Those who learn Presence radiate an unmistakable attraction that only grows as they advance in the discipline. People are naturally drawn to these vampires.

o - Awe. You can improve the way people react to you.
oo - Dread Gaze. When you chose, your gaze can be terrifying.
ooo - Entrancement. You can inspire people to love you for a time.
oooo - Summon. You can draw individuals to you at any distance.
ooooo - Majesty. It becomes unthinkable to cross or upset you.

-[Common Disciplines]-
Many other disciplines exist that are possible for members of any clan to learn, with enough patience. They do not come as easily as in-clans, but they are not impossible either. These too are bloodright for any vampire.

Potence
For each dot of Potence, the character achieves an automatic success on any Strength roll.
